Assistant Dean of Scientific Affairs

 

          Through my appointment as Dean’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs in the College, the following works have been accomplished and supervised by the researcher and the development of the scientific process for students and raising the level of higher education as follows:

  • Organizing the final examination schedules in coordination with the scientific departments.
  •  Organizing schedules of weekly lessons and in coordination with the scientific departments.
  •  Supervising the weekly lecture register prepared for this purpose.
  •  Follow-up of the graduate students and their discipline in accordance with the regulations and instructions in force.
  •  Check applications for admission to postgraduate studies after receiving them from the scientific departments and consolidate them and submit them to the Presidency of the University.
  •  Checking the transfer of postgraduate studies from other universities to postgraduate studies in the college and forwarding them to the competent scientific departments to consider it and address the relevant authorities.
  •  Follow-up of postgraduate students in terms of time periods and devote them to study according to regulations and instructions
  •  Participation in the meetings of the Graduate Studies Committees at the College when invited by them to discuss matters of graduate studies according to the competence of the departments in order to ensure good performance.
  •  Prepare the statement of discussion of the request for graduate studies one week before the date of discussion and the creation of minutes of discussion committees and audit and submitted to the College Council.
  • Supervising the number of annual of postgraduate studies in the college.
  •  Delivery of test books and receipt in accordance with the rules in force.
  •  Declaration of the results of examinations after approval by the committees of graduate studies in the scientific departments and according to competence.
  • Provide the scientific departments grades according to a model prepared for this purpose for approval by the Graduate Studies Committees.
  •  Coordinating with the scientific departments on the delivery of test questions of the first and second sessions, as is the case in the preliminary studies.
  •  Addressing the official departments of  everything related to the career of graduate students from registration to graduation.
  •  Addressing the Presidency of the University / Department of Graduate Studies in all related to the biography of graduate student.
  • Supervising the work of the Registration Division and distributing the work among its employees and monitoring their time.
  •  Organizing lists of acceptance of new students according to alphabetical letters. Then will work on their registration, distribution by coordination and cooperation with the internal departments.
  •  Organizing and auditing documents as well as grades and units of study and decision and follow up the requirements of the preparatory study for all levels of study.
  • Signing books that include referral of students to health centers and hospitals.
  • Supervising students ‘absences, introducing them into the records, organizing quarterly schedules of students’ names, and publishing them in the notice board and warning students exceeding the legal limit for absences in cooperation and coordination with the scientific departments in the college.
  • Signature of student IDs.
  •  Supervising the students’ cultural, social and sports affairs in the college.
  • To prepare all the examinations related to the quarterly and final examinations.
  •  Application of uniform dress of the college and the adoption of disciplinary sanctions against violators.
  •  Supervising the implementation of the examination instructions approved by the higher authorities in the ministry and the university.
  • Approve for the purchase of books, magazines and periodicals for the library of the college and limit (20) twenty copies each.
  •  Approval of the printing of permits, university letters, reports and research in foreign printing offices in case of lack of self-availability of students and disbursement of the amounts achieved according to the implementation instructions of the budget in force.
  •  Issue administrative orders for the separation of students due to absence and fraud.
  •  Issuing administrative orders to alert or delay students’ absences or when they fail or violate regulations and instructions.
  •  Issuing the administrative orders for lecturing by the associate or external lecturers (in coordination with the Deanship of the College) and opening the records or forms of their own with their audit in accordance with the administrative orders issued thereon and follow up their disbursement by the department’s secretariat in coordination with the financial de   partment of the college.
